**Baby Doe Found Dead; Mother Arrested**

Baltimore County Police announce the arrest of a woman in relation to the killing of a baby girl in Dundalk. The deceased was born alive and viable, as determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and died as a result of blunt force trauma.

**Baltimore County, MD** – On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at approximately 10:45 pm, officers from the Baltimore County Police Department were dispatched to the 1500 block of Sherwood Avenue in Dundalk for a report of a deceased infant. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive female infant inside of a residence. The infant was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Baltimore County Police Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The investigation revealed that the deceased infant was born alive and viable. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the infant and determined that the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the mother of the infant, 38-year-old Christina Marie Block. Block was arrested on December 1, 2022, and charged with first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, and assault.
